We have a house!!

This day has been a long time coming. You can think of a long time as 60 days of our closing period. Or 5 years since Josh and I first looked at a house together. Or 15 years that I've known that I needed my own house.

Regardless, the day is here!! The end of this crazy process means that I (we) have a place of my (our) own.

It's a mess, just so you know.

1. We have a roach problem (the small kind, the bad kind).

This is the oven clock. Those are roaches. Behind the glass. Yup. EWWWW! Same problem in the basement kitchen. Bug lady is coming next week. I can't wait.

2. The electric is not grounded on the main floor. So the electrician is coming next week too.

3. There were a few repairs that to the roof that came back in the inspection. The seller repaired the leak, but there are still a few minor things that we need to have done. Contractor is coming too!

4. And lastly, the person that I'm most excited about seeing next week? The cleaning crew!!! They are going to clean and disinfect inside the cabinets, appliances, bathrooms, floors, etc. AND clean the windows inside and out. Boo-ya!

Sometimes you just need to call the pros. I am all about DIY
